The Health Department delivers on-reserve health programs to Community Members, with additional programs available through Seabird Island.

  • Administers INAC and FNHA funded programs and services either directly or indirectly through department staff.
  • Assists in the development of Community resources, capacities and services while establishing and maintaining a sound working relationship with staff and agencies.

Through our partnership with Seabird Island Health, Cheam Community members also have access to an abundance of health services, including community health nursing, communicable disease control, health education, a medical clinic, dental care, home care nursing, nutrition and diabetes support, medical travel, pre and post-natal support, and early childhood development services.
