Cheam Fishing Village & Campground Site Maintenance Assistant (CEI)


Key Responsibilities:
This position supports the efforts of the Site Maintenance Supervisor. Without limiting the generality of the following:
• Operates mowers and other equipment to maintain grounds, beach, fence lines, banks and hillsides;
• Rakes and maintains the river’s edge, campsites and surrounding areas;
• Maintains lawns and walkways;
• Report equipment problems or failure to their direct Supervisor or in their absence the Campground Operations Manager.
• Returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility;
• Cleans the maintenance areas and site(s).
• Recycling sorting
• Helps with project work;

Scheduled Hours/Days

• Mon – Fri 8:30AM – 4:30PM

• This is a sixteen (16) week SASET summer position

Requirements

• Must be First Nations/Inuit, status/non-status, reside on or off reserve, within SASET catchment area

• Should be minimal 15 years of age and returning to school

• Secondary and Post-Secondary students must be registered full-time students during the previous academic year and intend to return to full-time studies in the following academic year

• Reliable Transportation

• Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of the program

• All Service Canada Personal Information forms (PIFS) and Client Consent forms (CC’s) must be submitted prior to the commencement of the program
