Chief and Council were made aware of concerns and incidents involving the Peacekeepers Program by both internal and external parties. After a preliminary review of evidence and consultation with legal counsel, we have made the difficult decision to stop the Peacekeepers Program at this time. A thorough review will be conducted. It is our intent to re-establish a security team.
We know that this news may cause some uncertainty and concerns, but want to assure the community that interim measures will be put in place.
