Cheam Chief and Council is hosting a quarterly Community Meeting in the Cheam Gymnasium. The purpose of Community Meetings is to report quarterly on Council activities and progress on achievements, and to share information on opportunities and collect feedback.
1. Report Presentations
2. Questions & Answers
Council Members are required to attend Community Meetings, unless they have reasonable cause for not attending. No Member will be excluded from a Community Meeting, but may be requested to leave for improper conduct. The expectation of the Council and the Members is to participate respectfully. Please note, Community Members are welcome to observe.
Chief Ernie Crey says, “I hope that many Cheam Members attend our first quarterly Community Meeting of this elected term. The Council would like to establish a routine of communicating with the Members. We are looking at options to include participation of off-reserve Members via technology.”
For Members not able to attend in person, the Council will be providing an option to participate via teleconference. For future meetings, Council is working to provide the meeting as a webcast.
